Scrufts Britain's Favourite Dog

Scruffts, the nation’s crossbreed dog competition, returns for another year on 17 March at 8.00pm on Channel 4. Focussing on the family dogs we love – and highlighting the amazing work done by dog rescuers – the programme celebrates the mixed-up mutts that prove that it’s what’s on the inside that counts. With nearly 1500 hopeful hounds and their owners vying for a place at the Scruffts final – which is held at Crufts 2017 – this year’s competition has been tougher than ever.

This warm and celebratory documentary highlights the unique relationship between dogs and humans as it follows the competition through the heats and semi-final across the UK. As the six finalists strut their stuff at the world’s most prestigious dog show, who will be crowned Britain’s Favourite Family Crossbreed Dog in 2017?
