Documentary series The Secret Life of Posh Pets looks at some of the more unusual pets owned by the rich, and detailing the charmed life some of these animals lead.
In previous episodes, millionaires Debi and Bob enjoyed the doggy wedding of the year as their chihuahuas Honey and Joey finally tied the knot, while Doncaster breeder Bryn was set to make millions selling falcons to the super-rich Sheikhs and princes of the Middle East.
This episode, airing on Friday 14 July at 8.00pm on ITV, focuses on Janey, who six years ago developed a passion for micro pigs.
She has learned the hard way that small pigs do not always remain so, and now finds herself with two very large pot-bellied pigs. Though she dotes on her not-so-micro pigs, Janey admits that her need for a true mini-pig has never been sated. After visiting
the country’s leading micro pig breeder, will it be third time lucky for Janey?
Also on the show, expert animal behaviourist Emma Dale travels to upmarket Oxshott in Surrey, where glamourous mum-of-two
Joanna has two rescue beagles that she spoils rotten. Instead of showing their gratitude, however, they poo on her kitchen floor. Finally, ultra pampered Chelsea cockatoo Darcy heads off for a fortnight of doggy detox at the country’s most exclusive dog hotel.
