THE CLASSIC CHILDREN'S TELEVISION QUIZ BOOK by DEAN WILKINSON

Published by Apex Books

Author and scriptwriter Dean Wilkinson grew up during the golden age of classic kids telly (the 1970's) and has had something of a stellar career writing for children's television including the likes of Byker Grove, Stupid and SMTV Live so he is certainly more than qualified to bring us this fact packed romp through a 1,000 questions devoted to kids TV young and old.

With the emphasis firmly on the prime era of the 70's and 80's this is a real nostalgia blast, the questions are a good mix from the fairly easy to the well I'd never have guessed. Grouped into sections, everything from Cosgrove Hall, The Ghosts of Motley Hall, Blue Peter and even the legend that is Brian Cant; Every page also features little snippets of Trivia, a great idea that makes the book a good read in its own right.

Like most of us Wilkinson would love to see a return to a world of less choice but more quality, lets be honest, so much of todays children's telly fails on so many levels that it is scary. Time have certainly changed but for most of us TV still has a major role to play in our lives and looking back through the multitude of downright brilliant series that have been made for kids over the years its clear that our kids are missing out.

The classic children's television quiz book offers up a huge amount of fun and is guaranteed to make you want to seek out some of the shows mentioned in its pages to share and enjoy with your own kids.
