John Bartlett / Director: Baz Taylor
Sitcom. Episodes in the life of
middleclass Dentist Ben and his family, wife Susan and kids Nick, Janey and
Michael. A rare example of a UK sitcom using the American team method of writers
with this using combinations of five different writers. The five writers were:-
Fred Barron, Steve Armigoda, John Armigoda (all from the USA), Ian Brown and
James Hendrie. Interestingly the lead character shared the same name as the
Dentist husband in Butterflies. From the 2002
season daughter Janey left for university and has only appeared in cameo roles in a couple of episodes since.A 30 Minute
Christmas special episode was broadcast 25 December 2002. Series 5 saw DANIELA DENBY-ASHE returns to the series as a
regular and KRIS MARSHALL leaves as a regular but making occasional guest-appearances.
