Downton Funk: British single of the year gets Downton Abbey parody treatment

Having been named British single of the year at the Brit awards Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson has also been given another (rather dubious) honour. A mash up parody that turns it into a Downton Abbey inspired class mash-up. It’s from the rather splendid college humor team.

Downton Funk doesn’t feature any actual cast members from the show, oh how we wish it did, but it does feature some lookalikes (well not really but they are dressed up Downton style). Check it out below.

Once again it’s going to be the centrepiece of ITV’s Christmas schedule. A special two hour episode of Downton Abbey as the Crawley family celebrate grouse season in the autumn of 1924.

There are a couple of choice guest stars too in the shape of the fab Alun Armstrong who plays a Butler called Stowell and who works for the Sinderby family. Meanwhile Jane Lapotaire is playing the much talked about Prince Irina.
