had the same format, same set design and even kept the same signature tune.

WHERE DO I SIT UK / BBC2 / 3x30m-e / 1971 19 February - 5 March Fridays 9.20pm Writer: Peter Cook / Producers: Ian MacNaughton, Peter Cook Shambolic live chat show hosted by Peter Cook (who somewhat unusually appeared out of his depth). After 3 of the planned 13 editions the show was pulled.
WOGAN UK / BBC1 / 1250x30m-e / 1982-92 A thrice weekly chat show hosted by Mr Blarney himself Terry Wogan. Everybody and their dad appeared on the show during its long run, often plugging their latest book, film, whatever. Terry's most ill advised guest was George Best (September 1990) who came on the early evening show obviously drunk. During the 'interview' Best proceeded to swear all over the shop and was later escorted off the set. In the autumn of 1991 former sportsman/presenter David Icke appeared on the show and declared himself to be the Son of God.
