Stand alone period drama After Miss Julie was broadcast in 1995 as part of the BBC Two strand Performance which presented plays in a studio setting. Geraldine Somerville starred as Miss Julie and the play was written by Patrick Marber after August Stringberg. This production was set in 1945 when Miss Julie the upper class daughter of a Labour MP sets out to seduce her father’s chauffeur John (Phil Daniels). Kathy Burke also appeared.
