A Woman’s Place Is In The Home is in the home is one of three new episodes of classic sitcoms that have episodes that have been lost forever. Made as part of the BBC’s celebratory Sitcom Season the episode is the sixth episode from the second season of Til Death Us Do Part and originally broadcast on 30 January 1967.
In the episode, which sees Simon Day take on Warren Mitchell’s icon role, Alf Garnett returns home to find the house empty and only a burnt supper waiting for him.
Definitely a worthwhile attempt, especially as so many of the original episodes of this show are no more. Realistically this is not going to make much of a stir but the character had a huge impact on the public during the show’s original run.
