McMillan And Wife: The Easy Sunday Murder Case (NBC 20 Oct 1971)
In The Easy Sunday Murder Case the McMillans are hoping for a quiet weekend but brunch at Sally’s mothers house leads to the arrival of her neighbour, Francesca Fairborn, who reveals that her prize dog (along with her husband) has been kidnapped and the crooks are demanding $100,000 for his safe return. Mrs Fairborn is far more concerned in getting back her dog than her husband.
A strong episode, Sally’s mother is a hoot, all bewigged and outrageous fashions and Sally is as always very gorgeous. Some nice humorous touches not least with Mac’s allegies to dogs and the fact that he has driving license suspended after being caught speeding (he has just introduced new rules about cops not getting away with traffic violations!)
