Organisation, The (ITV 1972 Donald Sinden, Peter Egan)

The Organisation

Drama series The Organisation was all about the plotting and backbiting amongst the middle management of the Greatrick Organisation which is still ruled by the iron hand of the chairman who created it.

In the public relations department Richard Pershore is determined to get within the Organisation. The department was full of backbiting, envy, sleeping around, in fact the show was a pretty realistic look at office life.

Peter Egan played the handsome and ambitious Richard Pershore who was determined to get to the top. Bernard Hepton was press officer Rodney Spurling who always seemed to be in Chairman’s firing line. Meanwhile Donald Sinden was David Pulman, head of public relations.
