Party Tricks (Network 10 2014, Asher Keddie, Rodger Corser)
Political drama series Party Tricks followed politician Kate Ballard on the campaign trail as she attempts to win re-election as Premier of her state. All is going well until she discovers that her rival candidate is well known TV personality turned politico David McLeod with whom Ballard once had an intense and very secret affair.
Keddie said of the series “To work with Rodger has been high on my wish list and I think this material poses the perfect challenge for us to tackle together. The ensemble cast is fresh, dynamic and compelling, and the writing is thrilling.”
The series had the tagline “Opposites Attract” and there was more of an emphasis on the romantic rather than the politcial or thrilling angle.
