Michael Pelham is travelling on the Orient Express to join his parents in Belgrade. The train has barely left Paris before Michael becomes involved in a series of mysterious events.

2. THE COURIER (Friday 12 October 1956 at 5.00pm)
Michael Pelham is travelling to Belgrade on the Simplon-Orient Express. Already he has become involved in a mysterious train of events. Who is Mr McCorkindale, and what is the significance of the brief-case?

3. THE SNOWDRIFT (Friday 26 October 1956 at 5:00pm)
Michael Pelham is travelling on the Simplon-Orient Express to Belgrade. He has become involved in the intrigues of an international spy ring. He meets a Rumanian travel courier, who tells him that he is working for the British Secret Service and makes him leave the compartment while he interrogates a suspected spy. When Michael returns, the courier has disappeared and the suspect is dead.

4. THE GEORGE CUP (Friday 9 November 1956 at 5.00pm)
Michael Pelham is travelling on the Simplon-Orient Express to Belgrade. He has become involved in the schemes of an international spy ring and it is now essential for him that the train should reach the Italian frontier on time.

5. THE TIME TABLE (Friday 23 November 1956 at 5.00pm)
Michael Pelham is travelling on the Simplon-Orient Express to Belgrade. He has become involved in the villainous schemes of two rival international spy rings, and now lies drugged in his compartment on the train hurtling across the plains of Northern Italy. What will happen to Michael, and who is the strange English hiker?

6. THE PASSAPORT (Friday 7 December 1956 at 5.00pm)
Michael Pelham is travelling on the Simplon-Orient Express to Belgrade. He has become involved in the villainous schemes of international spy rings, and now his passport has been stolen in an attempt to have him put off the train. Will Michael be stranded in a foreign country?

7. THE DANGER (Friday 21 Dec 1956 at 5.00pm)
Michael Pelham is now on the final stage of his journey to Belgrade, and he holds vital information sought after by two international spy rings. A friend has turned out to be an enemy, and Michael finds himself face to face with danger.
