Public Eye: The Windsor Royal (ITV 17 Jan 1973, with Raymond Francis)
In The Windsor Royal Frank gets involved in the cut throat world of Rose Growing. He is called in by Clement Lawrence who is convinced that two of his prize winning rose bushes, The Windsor Royal, of the title, have been stolen by his arch rival.
There is something of a romantic sub-plot involving Pam, the daughter of Clement Lawrence and the son of Lawrence’s chief rival and former partner.
There was a rare guest appearance from 1960’s star Raymond Francis of No Hiding Place fame. After feeling he had become typecast a Chief Superintendent Lockhart Francis took a step back from TV and went back to the Theatre.
