Strike (BBC-1 2017, Tom Burke, Holliday Grainger)

Strike BBC 2017

Strike adapts Robert Galbraith’s London set crime novels about ex soldier turned private detective Cormoran Strike working out of a none too salubrious office in Denmark Street aided by secretary Robin Ellacott who initially enters Cormoran’s world as a temp but soon makes herself invaluable and gets as involved in the cases as Strike himself.

The Cormoran Strike novels are superb, initially published with little fanfare by an unknown author called Robert Galbraith. It was then revealed that Galbraith was actually Harry Potter scribe J.K. Rowling which immediately turned the Strike novels into massive bestsellers.

So far there have been three Strike novels and this series, which is currently in production, will adapt all three of them.
