THE GHOST BOAT

Showing: ITV1 Network | Sunday 9 April 2006 and Monday 10 April 2006 @ 9:00 PM to 10:30 PM

The nation’s favourite, Sir David Jason is set to captivate audiences once again as he stars in Ghostboat, a two-part naval drama for ITV1.

Jack Hardy (David Jason) is the sole survivor of a mysterious submarine disaster in World War II.

Now, in 1981, the ill-fated submarine Scorpion has resurfaced, miraculously intact. And Naval Intelligence need Hardy's expertise to retrace the course and mission that led to her original disappearance.

But what's waiting for them under the grey waters of the Baltic Sea turns out to be much worse than the Russian submarines they're expecting.

Before he knows it, Hardy is fighting for his life as the forgotten events of 1943 start to have deadly consequences for the modern-day crew of the sub.

Wherever Scorpion has been all this time, it's brought some very bad luck back with it...

Starring alongside David Jason in the brand new two part epic thriller is Ian Puleston-Davies playing Commander Travis and Tony Haygarth playing Cassidy.

Three time winner of Best Actor at the National TV Awards, David Jason consistently captures the heart of the nation, delivering loyal audiences every time.

Producer, David Reynolds says: “Ghostboat is a really unique drama that David Jason brought to us after reading the novel and we worked closely with him to bring it to screen. It is one of the most elaborate drama projects we have worked on together and the location shoots, the special effects and nail biting script will ensure it is one of this year’s television highlights.”

Ghostboat, was written by Guy Burt, directed by Stuart Orme and produced by David Reynolds. It is a Granada Yorkshire production for ITV1.
