MICHAEL
WEAVER plays Danny
Michael
Weaver, a musician and singer initially, was performing in a pub in
Vancouver when an agent suggested he consider acting. After taking some
classes, Weaver booked his first job -- a scene opposite Jack Lemmon.
Shortly thereafter he moved to New York to study full time.
After
attending director Mike Nichols' New Actors Workshop in New York City,
Weaver was involved in various off-off Broadway productions, including
Geography of a Horse Dreamer and Urban Empire's Worldly Acts, as well as
work at the Upright Citizen's Brigade Theater. In addition to his stage
work, he showed his diversity with guest starring roles on the
critically acclaimed NBC dramas Law & Order and Law & Order:
Special Victims Unit, and in the Fox Searchlight feature film, Super
Troopers, from the Broken Lizard Comedy Troupe.
Looking
to make a permanent leap into film and television, Weaver relocated to
Los Angeles and quickly landed a recurring role on NBCs Providence.
Guest starring roles followed on NCIS, Cold Case, Monk and the
short-lived ABC comedy, Hot Properties, among others. One of Weaver's
greatest assets is his ability to excel in both comedy and drama.
Teaming
up with Broken Lizard again, Weaver appeared in their second Fox
Searchlight release, Club Dread, starring Bill Paxton. Paxton was so
impressed by Weaver that he cast him in the Disney film The Greatest
Game Ever Played, on which he served as director.
Adding
writing to his list of talents, Weaver recently sold his own television
show to Warner Bros. with Broken Lizard, but the show has been put on
hold due to his involvement in Notes from the Underbelly"
Weaver
continues to play music and has released several records, most recently
with his New York based band, The New Black. He currently resides in
Venice, California, with his wife, Jennifer, and an occasionally
annoying hound dog, both of whom are helping him through his addiction
