| Laugh
out loud with comedy superstar Rodney Carrington as he takes the stage
of the Majestic Theater in Dallas, Texas in his all-new one-hour
special. The World Premiere of Rodney Carrington Live at the
Majestic" debuts on COMEDY CENTRAL Saturday, April 14 at 11:00 p.m.
The
man behind the hysterically heartfelt country ballad Letter to My Penis
takes Texas by storm in his all-new special. Between his comedic tunes,
signature Southern charm and ability to admit the things men and women
think, but won't admit, Carrington has a slew of all-new material to
keep COMEDY CENTRAL fans howling at the moon with laughter all night!
Carrington
broke through with his major label debut Hangin' With Rodney in 1998.
The album, which featured fan favorite songs Letter to My Penis and
Fred, sold more than 475,000 copies and established Carrington, with his
trademark black cowboy hat, boots and Texas twang, as the king of middle
class comedy.
The
next few years saw four more Top 10 albums: Live, Morning Wood, Nutsack
and Greatest Hits, all of which continue to receive major radio airplay
on both country and rock format radio stations. Greatest Hits, a double
CD, became a RIAA certified Gold Record and is well on its way to
Platinum.
Carrington's
major network comedy, Rodney, ran on ABC from 2004 to 2006. Carrington
considered that television show to be a two-year infomercial that took
his career to all-new heights, inspiring the creative production of his
most recent Capitol Records comedy CD King of the Mountains, hitting
stores April 3, 2007. The DVD of Rodney Carrington: Live at the Majestic
will be in stores April 24 and his new book Coming Clean will be
released in September of 2007. |
