Crime drama series. Exploits
of a team of forensic criminal experts working as part of the Crime
Scene Investigators based in Las Vegas. The show was originally to have
aired on the ABC but they passed and CBS took up the option and although
set in Las Vegas much of the filming is actually done in California.
Although generally accurate the show has been known to use made up
forensic procedures to crack its cases.
The 2004-2005 season finale was directed by Quentin
Tarantino and there have been two spin offs CSI:Miami and
CSI:NY.
