This
sitcom from the creators of Third Rock From The Sun is definitely strong
on laughs, Donal Logue and Megyn Price star as Sean and Claudia
Finnerty, a fun-loving Staten Island couple who were pregnant and
married by age 18. Now in their early 30s they’re
stuck raising three headstrong kids while still trying to grow up
themselves. Add in to the mix the meddling of Sean’s irresponsible
brother Eddie (Kevin Corrigan) and judgmental father (Richard Riehle)
and you have one typical modern family trying their best to survive
everyday life. The Finnerty's are totally suburban and archetypal sitcom
characters (Sean works on the subway and Claudia is a restaurant hostess)
but the show itself has great fun playing with the conventions of the
genre with its heavy use of flashback and fantasy sequences. The show
was initally seen on Fox before switiching over to The Warner Brothers
Network. Towards the end of the shows run son Henry disappeared from the family, as actor Jake Burbage and his family
moved and didn't wish to travel to continue filming. All of the episode
titles are based on song titles.
