Medical drama series. Dr Gregory House, maverick, somewhat embittered and decidely grouchy, leads a team of mostly young diagnosticians at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital. There is a disease of the week feel but the dialogue is sharp and crisp and Hugh Laurie (won the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Drama Series in 2006) has created a genuine TV legend in Gregory House. Gregory's most hated part of his job is his mandatory clinic duty and it's here that his eccentric characteristics are most on display. House's catchphrase is "everybody lies". The series has dropped the M.D. from its title and is now known as House.
Apparently creator David Shore has said that his inspiration for the character of Gregory was Sherlock Holmes, they even share the same address, 221b.
With:- Hugh Laurie asDr. Gregory House / Robert Sean Leonard as Dr. James Wilson / Omar Epps as Dr. Eric Foreman / Jennifer Morrison as Dr. Allison Cameron / Jesse Spencer as Dr. Robert Chase / Lisa Edelstein as Dr. Lisa Cuddy / Chi McBride as Edward Vogler / Sela Ward as Stacy Warner
