Initially shown on the BBC’s digital only channel BBC3 (you could only access the channel if you had a digital set top box or integrated TV) it later got a network repeat on BBC2 which could be seen by the whole country on 10 November 2004.

Drama. Two couples, one black the other white are trying to conceive using IVF treatment. Laura, the white woman, falls pregnant – but then the clinic realise there may have been a mix-up with the embryos and when the baby is born it is black. There follows a custody battle for the child with both couples wanting the baby. The four main players were actors – all other parts, such as lawyers and clinical specialists were played by real professionals with improvised dialogue.
