In Beneath The Skin young teacher Zoe foils a mugging and becomes a local hero. She then receives anonymous letters threatening her life and is later murdered. Jennifer is a mother who starts to receive similar letters and is also murdered – what links these women?
When pet shop worker Nadia starts to get similar letters, the police put her under protection but she is determined to find out the truth herself.
The viewer knows who the villain is and he has befriended Nadia but the police have ruled him out of their enquiries!
