Chance In A Million (Channel 4 1984-1986, Simon Callow, Brenda Blethyn)
In sitcom Chance in a Million Tom Chance (Simon Callow) is a walking disaster area. Everywhere he goes, he leaves chaos in his wake. If an accident is even remotely possible, it will happen to him.
One of Tom’s weirdest tics is his strange mode of speech – he begins each sentence with a verb and doesn’t use definite or indefinite articles, this adds to the chaos in his life and especially in his relationship with his shy librarian girlfriend Alison Little.
The two ended up getting married in the final episode.
