COMEDY SHOWCASE: FUN POLICE CHANNEL 4 FRIDAY 16 SEPTEMBER 2011 @ 10.30PM
UK | Channel 4 | 30 minutes
A welcome return for Vic Reeves in this new comedy pilot for a possible series. Fun Police follows the misadventures of a well dodgy Health and Safety team. Neil (Jack Doolan) returns to work after falling two stories on to the head of Brightsea’s H&S Department, leaving her in a coma. With the boss currently hospitalised, a new boss, Leslie (Rhys Darby), steps up with great enthusiasm, but he has some questionable management skills…
While Leslie prepares to make a press statement about the accident with the help of town planner and self-professed media guru Richard “Dickie” Traves (Vic Reeves), Neil endures less-than-helpful post-traumatic counselling sessions, and Health and Safety make a raid on a beauty salon…
Fun Police aims to emulate the style of big knockabout US comedies such as Anchor Man and definitely has it’s tongue firmly in it’s cheek.
Writer: Matt Morgan | Director: Richard Boden and it is a Roughcut Television for Channel 4
