Scifi drama serial. A bizarre meteor shower strikes most of the world’s population blind, evil carnivorous plants called Triffids begin to take over. Ex-Triffid farmer Bill Masen one of the few not to be blinded struggles to make some sense of it all and tries to come up with a plan to defeat the Triffids.

Straight forward but hugely enjoyable take on Wyndham’s classic, the BBC remade the drama in a big budget production which aired Christmas 2009.
