Sitcom Devenish detailed the exploits of Arthur Prufrock Devenish who cannot resist interfering in the running of the toy factory, Universal Pastimes Ltd, where he works.

Arthur Prufrock Devenish is extremely keen to further his career and is proud of his diplomas in Business Studies, Marketing, Agricultural Economics and Banking that he earnt in two months from the East Plymouth Business College.

Arthur, who considers himself the companies ideas man, has worked for UP for ten years and is convinced he should be running the place by now.
