Hell’s Bells (BBC-1 1986, Derek Nimmo, Robert Stephens)
Sitcom Hell’s Bells detailed the misadventures of Selwyn Makepeace, the bumbling Dean of Norchester Cathedral. Makepeace is very much a man of tradition so he is none too pleased to discover that his new Bishop, Godfrey Hethercote is a progressive socialist with very ‘modern’ ideas about Christianity.
Another entry in the Derek Nimmo religious canon and a rare comedy role for renowned actor Robert Stephens.
