How To Live A Simple Life (BBC-2 2010, Peter Owen Jones)
Any right thinking person knows that, in order to bring about real change in the western world, we need to return to a more simplistic way of living. Something Anglican priest Peter Owen Jones examines in thought provoking three part series How To Live A Simple Life.
Beginning with learning the art of downsizing and growing his own vegatables before deciding to go one step further and copy St Francis of Assisi and makes the decision to live without money altogether. Given the fact that our entire society seems to be consumer based this is no easy feat and Peter has to discover whether his parishoners are willing to not only help him but also maybe even join him.
Quite an interesting production, kind of like a faith meets River Cottage style arrangement as the watchable Jones learns how to return to nature and trying at the same time to uphold the rule of St Francis.
