Drama serial A Raging Calm follows the tangled lives of four people living in a West Riding Town. There is ex-mayor Tom Simpkins a widower who lives with his sister, his secretary Andrea who lives at home with her parents, Norma Moffat, middle aged married housewife and married school teacher Philip Hart, their lives become entwined when Tom becomes involved with Norma and Philip becomes involved with Andrea.
