An anthology series of short dramas with a sting in the tail. Blessed with a memorable theme tune and opening title sequence the series was originally called Roald Dahl’s Tales of the Unexpected and Dahl himself introduced some of the early episodes.
The shows featured a veritable who’s who of top flight acting talent inlcuding the likes of John Gieldgud, Joan Collins, Ralph Bates, Susan George, Brian Blessed, Pauline Collins, John Alderton, Michael Hordern, Timothy West, Peter Bowles, Joseph Cotton and Julie Harris to name just a few.
