TALES OF UNEASE

UK / ITV – London Weekend Television – Duet Films / 7×30 minute episodes / Broadcast 30 October – 11 December 1970

Executive Producer: Peter Wildeblood / Producer: Paul Knight

Tales of Unease was a short lived anthology of spooky, strange and occasionally scary half hour dramas. Like the later Tales of the Unexpected the 30 minute format works well as the tension in each story mounts and doesn’t out stay its welcome.

The productions, of which there were only seven, were all glossy and well mounted and several had the feel of the European horror thriller that was then very much in vogue.

The series was also strongly cast with appearances from the likes of Susan George, James Hazledine, Michael Culver, Talfryn Thomas, Tessa Wyatt, Roy Dotrice and Terence Rigby.
