Andy Millman is a 40-something actor always working on the fringes as an extra or bit-part player jealous of "proper" actors and always pestering the stars for a few speaking lines. Maggie is his friend, another extra, who always seems to work on the same shows as him. The stars are played by well-known actors playing themselves (or extreme versions of themselves), for instance:- Ben Stiller, Ross Kemp, Kate
Winslet, Robert De Niro.
