ANT AND DEC IN A TRIBUTE TO THE LIKELY LADS

UK / ITV1 / 1x40m / 11 May 2002 / 9:10pm
Original script: Dick Clement, Ian La Frenais / Updated by: Ian Brown, James Hendrie / Director: Bob Spiers / Producer: Steve Kidgell

A remake of "No Hiding Place", a classic episode of Whatever Happened To The Likely Lads where Bob (Rodney Bewes) and Terry (James Bolam) try to avoid hearing the result of a football match. Original star Rodney Bewes had a cameo part in this. The original script was closely adhered to but was set in the present rather than the 1970s with some updated contemporary references. It used the same original theme music. Thelma didn’t need to be cast as she was never in this episode - although she is referred to. NOTE: The unwieldy title is as it was billed on-screen.

With: ANT MCPARTLIN as Terry Collier / DECLAN DONNELLY as Bob Ferris / JOHN THOMSON as Flint / JAYNE CHARLTON MACKENZIE as Audrey / KEN HADLEY as Vicar / RODNEY BEWES as One-legged News Vendor / RALPH BROWN as Garry / GARY KICHING as Dennis / DESMOND LYNAM as Himself (TV Sports Presenter)
