Three different winners have emerged from the first three races of the season, providing ample evidence that Penske and Chip Ganassi Racing, the two dominant teams in IndyCar, are finally being tested halfway through the season. Last year’s series winner, Penske driver Will Power, is currently in last place.
However, his slow start is more likely due to his wife’s near-death experience at the start of the season than it is to the league’s competition. The former Indy 500 winner’s bid for a repeat victory has been hampered by Liz’s absence from the races, where she usually cheers him on alongside their son and manages his meticulous routine.
Will he finally get his revenge at Barber, a track he has previously won at? One of the most surprising drivers in the series this year, Agustin Canapino, is also very familiar with the road course that the race will be held on. What will happen to the Argentine’s Cinderella story, which has resulted in two P12 finishes so far?
