20/20 You’ve Got Jail (ABC Friday March 24, 2023)

Today Friday March 24, 2023, there is a new episode of 20/20.

You’ve Got Jail Sharee Miller, a mother of three from Michigan, was in the middle of an intricate love triangle. She set her unknowing husband, Bruce Miller, up against her online chatroom boyfriend, Jerry Cassaday, a former police officer and casino worker.

Miller lied to Cassaday about being physically tortured by Bruce and about his alleged mafia links in their online talks, during which she also fabricated the loss of many pregnancies. Both men died soon after she told these lies. Miller spoke with “Nightline” host Juju Chang more than 20 years after she was given a life sentence.

Miller admits her guilt, reveals her shocking motivation, and reads an apology letter she wrote to the families of the two men and anyone else she hurt as a result of her crimes.

Miller sent online risqué videos to Cassaday to impose her influence and further lure him into her scheme, and a recording of the police interview of Miller is shown in the programme.

The episode also features interviews with Bruce’s brother and sister-in-law, Chuck and Judy Miller; Cassaday’s brother, Mike; Cassaday’s mother, Charlene; Cassaday’s son, James; the case’s lead detective, Kevin Shanlian; the Genesee County assistant prosecutor, Marcie Mabry; John Hutchinson, whom Miller initially led police to believe murdered Bruce; and other family and friends.
