Today Tuesday 10 January 2023, there is a new episode of 24 Hours in A&E.

Episode 2 Three spouses and their husbands’ life journeys are the focus of this episode. With sepsis suspected, Mick is transported to Queen’s. While specialists investigate the source of the 74-year-life-threatening old’s illness, we hear from his wife, who provides round-the-clock care for him.

Keith, 58 years old, has a thumping heart and comes at the hospital. His wife describes how she was diagnosed with the “deaf gene” and how she raised her children despite their hearing loss as doctors work desperately to slow his heart rate.

And Jillian, 61, has arrived at the emergency room after a fall she suffered at the hospital’s fundraising event. She reflects on the time when her spouse was told he had advanced bowel cancer.
