24 Hours In A&E: Looking Back airs Thursday 18 May 2023 on E4.

A retrospective of the most moving staff and patient stories captured on film at King’s College Hospital and St. George’s in south London since 2011. Daisy, a 22-month-old who was kicked in the head by a horse, is flown to St. George’s Hospital. Her head is broken, her brain is bruised, and she has a concussion. Next steps are planned by the surgeons. Maggie, an 83-year-old life-loving vivacious woman, is suspected of having sepsis. Roman, age 5, has a pencil lead lodged in his ear. His mother Annie describes Roman as sweet and loving, but also a handful at times.
