A terrifying crime spree and the perils of alcohol tonight on 60 Minutes Australia, Sunday 27 November on Channel 9.
A horrific series of sexual assaults take place on women and girls in and around Sydney’s affluent eastern suburbs. The 16-year rampage began in the middle of the 1980s. The so-called Bondi Beast attacked at least 31 times during that time.
Although the police had few leads, they should be commended for never giving up. The monster was finally revealed a few weeks ago, 37 years after his initial attack. He was identified as Keith Simms.
On assignment for 60 MINUTES, Sylvia Jeffreys details how cutting-edge DNA technology and tenacious research helped to identify the attacker.

MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE
Lisa Greenberg is aware of how simple it is to become entrapped in an alcohol addiction, from a harmless drink to terrible turmoil.
One of the most well-known sports executives in Australia, Todd Greenberg’s wife almost lost her life to alcoholism. Now, she says to Allison Langdon, she wants to serve as a warning about its risks.
Lisa, however, has neither joined the “fun police” nor launched a “stop drinking” initiative. Instead, her bottle contains a warning to be cautious and a demonstration of how wonderful life can be on the other, sober side.
