What’s Happening On 60 Minutes Tonight Sunday October 30 on CBS; Belief in the Ballot: This midterm election features candidates for important statewide positions, including secretary of state, which would give them control over elections and are supported by politicians who believe the 2020 election was rigged. No fraud or error that could alter the 2020 election results has been confirmed in any state after two years of audits and investigations. Scott Pelley reports from Arizona on a crucial midterm issue that has divided the Republican Party and the nation as election day draws closer. Republican House Speaker Rusty Bowers and Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich are both interviewed by Pelley. Additionally, he talks to Republican candidate Mark Finchem, a state representative, who is in a tight race to become Arizona’s secretary of state and has asserted that Donald Trump won the 2020 election.

Pathogen X: After the COVID-19 pandemic, Bill Whitaker and a group of American and Ugandan scientists head to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda in an effort to find the next lethal virus before it finds us. 60 MINUTES followed the virus hunters as they trekked deep into the ancient forest to test bats, baboons, and monkeys for new viruses called Pathogen X that could infect humans by jumping from wild animals.
