999: On The Front Line (S7EP10 Channel 4 Mon 16 May 2022)

The West Midlands Ambulance Service paramedic crews are followed over a 12-hour shift. Filmed in spring 2021, as the nation emerges from the third lockdown from the Covid-19 pandemic, and at a time when the service has never been busier. In this episode, a drunk man kicks off at the paramedics in the back of the ambulance.

A taxi driver is cut out of his vehicle after a road traffic collision. Back pain leaves a landscape gardener unable to get up off the floor. A 21-year-old woman who hasn’t passed urine in over 20 hours is complaining of severe pain in her kidneys, and the construction of a summer house goes badly wrong when sheets of plywood land on the builder’s head.
