In the 1950s, Britain fought a vicious war in Kenya against the Mau Mau – a movement fighting for independence from colonial rule. For decades, many of the worst abuses committed by British colonial forces have been kept hidden.

Piecing together survivor testimony and expert analysis from a team of British and Kenyan historians, this film reveals shocking new evidence; and for the first time tells a complete and detailed story of how Britain was involved in a regime of systematic torture.
