ABC TV Broadcast Schedule for Coronation of King Charles III
This Saturday, the ABC will air extensive coverage of King Charles III’s coronation for Australians across its television and digital radio platforms, as well as for audiences in the Asia Pacific region via ABC Australia and Radio Australia.
Starting at 5:00pm (AEST), Julia Baird of The Drum and Jeremy Fernandez of ABC News will host the special coverage before switching to live coverage from London on the BBC at 7:30pm (AEST).
A two-hour special, beginning at 5:00 p.m. on the day of the Coronation, will examine the potential reign of King Charles, how the monarchy might fit into the lives of Australians and the wider Commonwealth in 2023.
Guests will include Stan Grant; co-chair of the republican movement Craig Foster; monarchist and Liberal MP Julian Leeser; writer Kathy Lette; lawyer, writer and Wiradjuri and Wailwan woman Teela Reid; 2023 Australian Local Hero of the Year Amar Singh; Youth Advocate Angelica Ojinnaka; Constitutional Law Professor Anne Twomey; and Juliet Rieden from The Australian Women’s Weekly.
