… And Mother Makes Three: Simon’s Holiday (S1EP1 ITV Tues 27 Apr 1971, George Selway)

In the opening episode, Simon’s Holiday, widowed Sally Harrison has got a job at the local vets, Auntie has also arrived to stay with Sally and her two children, Simon and Peter.

As befitting the fact that Wendy Craig had moved from the BBC to ITV for this series, there was a TV Times cover and a three page feature on Wendy and her own contented home life.

Robin Davies who plays Simon had recently appeared in the first season of cult classic Catweazle as Carrott, the young lad who takes the eleventh century wizard under his wing.
