Animal Park airs a new episode tonight Tuesday 4 April 2023 on BBC One.

Episode 7 A new visitor to the park is altering Wiltshire in mysterious ways. Fallen trees, nibbled branches, and redirected waterways are telltale indications around the lake. The staff has some ideas about what may have caused this and has installed hidden cameras to attempt to find out for sure. Is it possible that native beavers are returning to the area after an absence of 500 years? And if they are, will the hippos and sea lions at the lake treat them with open arms?

We also make sure the fennec foxes are doing okay. Jean Johansson and the caretakers have been trying to set Anthony and Zuri up on a romantic date for the past year. Now that mating season has arrived, caretakers can finally get a glimpse into the lives of these elusive creatures by installing a nest box. When will the park eventually have fennec fox pups, and what will the footage show?

In addition, Jean has her knowledge of animal faeces put to the test by the caretakers, who explain the significance of this distinction.
