What is Season Finale about

Thorn, the giraffe, is a park veteran who is known for his bad mood and short fuse. However, elderly animals learn to rely on their caretakers more and more as they age. Thorn’s hooves had become enlarged, causing him pain. Thorn’s keepers need to teach him to lift his foot on cue so the veterinarian can treat his hooves. Can the keepers of this massive giraffe train it without getting kicked themselves?

Meanwhile, in another part of the park, a group of veterinarians are getting ready to operate on a couple of male reindeer. It is a physically tough task to remove the antlers before the new growth begins. Due to their extreme durability, reindeer antlers are traditionally removed by sawing them off by hand while the animal is anaesthetized. No anaesthetic is risk-free, and one of the reindeer has not responded well to the medications in the past, so working on both animals at once is a huge task that demands coordination between the keepers and the vets. Will this be the time that the two reindeer make it through the procedure?

Jean Johansson also gives the enormous African land snails a bath and measures the speed of the park’s fabled lions.
