Antiques Road Trip

What’s happening on Antiques Road Trip Today Tuesday 4 October on BBC One; In a vintage car from the 1970s, Roo Irvine is driving, and a first-time road tripper is sitting in the passenger seat. The seasoned antiques hunter needs to step it up after Mark Hill’s purchases at the previous auction caused quite a shock.

They log a lot of miles in the Highlands on this trip. Roo gambles big money on a tiny penny bank after falling in love with a set of silver butter knives in the art deco style, a move that Roo might come to regret on the auction day. Mark stakes a three-figure sum on an Edwardian writing desk in the hopes that high bids will result from the item’s exceptional condition. The unexpected discovery of a rare piece of studio glass, however, really excite the new boy.

Along the way, Mark stops to learn about the Scots language’s cultural and historical significance. He even makes an attempt to order his lunch using his newly acquired linguistic abilities. To learn more about a renowned strength feat, Roo meets a Scottish strongman.

Will the auction’s bidders share Roo’s adoration of shiny objects? And when the gavel drops, everyone is shocked by Mark’s rather remarkable discovery.
