Today Saturday 7 January 2023, there is a new episode of At the BBC.

Rod Stewart at the BBC 2 This collection features Rod Stewart’s best BBC appearances. Stay with Me and Three Button Hand Me Down by The Faces from the early 1970s are featured on Sounds for Saturday. The BBC chronicled Rod’s solo career through the years, and there are iconic performances and interviews that will make you want to dance, sing, and tug at your heartstrings. Included in the list of songs is “Sailing,” “You’re in My Heart,” “I Don’t Want to Talk about It,” and “Do Ya Think I’m Sexy?”

Also included are Rod’s renditions of the Great American Songbook standards Handbags and Gladrags, performed at Glastonbury in 2002, and I’m in the Mood for Love, originally performed by Dorothy Fields. To conclude this journey across more than half a century of music, there is a selection from Rod’s Radio 2 concert in May of 2013.
