Australia’s Wild Odyssey Series Final (ABC TV Tuesday 7 February 2023)
Following the path of water across Australia, Australia’s Wild Odyssey explores the extraordinary bonds that bind all living things together, from ants to eagles to humans.
Water shapes the terrain from above and below in the final episode, dissolving enormous caves, sculpting mountains, and cutting gorges.
Somewhere beneath the sand and stone of Australia’s deserts is a hidden supply of freshwater that provides life wherever it bubbles to the surface.
This wildlife series travels across the driest inhabited continent over the course of three action-packed episodes, documenting the ways in which rain, rivers, and subterranean aquifers modify and connect otherwise isolated ecosystems. At each stage of the trip, you’ll learn more about the intricate ecological systems that make Earth a habitable place for all kinds of life.
The audience is taken on a three-continent journey across Australia’s harshest regions in search of answers to the most fundamental questions: What makes life possible, and how does it all work?
