Owen Hart The world-famous wrestler Owen Hart tragically died after falling 78 feet from the ceiling of an arena on May 23, 1999, as the event was being televised live on television. Something went horribly wrong just before he was to make his grand entry as his superhero identity, “The Blue Blazer.”
Owen, only 34 years old, left behind a heartbroken wife and two small children who had no idea why their father would never return from the war. Owen Hart grew up in the wrestling world as the youngest son of Canadian wrestling veteran Stu Hart and the younger brother of World Wrestling Federation superstar Bret “The Hitman” Hart.
Though he had dabbled in various fields, by the time he was 23, his natural talent and flair for wrestling had propelled him to the WWF stage. Five years later, he was a major player for the company. How, though, could one of the most skilled wrestlers in the world, who was employed by a billion-dollar firm, come crashing down?
