Bake Off: The Professionals: Episode 7 (S5EP7 Channel 4 Tues 5 July 2022)

The search for this year’s best patisserie team in Britain continues, as Liam Charles and brand-new host Stacey Solomon welcome teams of pastry chefs hailing from establishments in Manchester, Cumbria, Wiltshire, Birmingham and London. As always, they face two days of testing challenges judged by world-class pâtissier experts Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden.

In this episode, Liam and Stacey welcome the best teams from both sets of heats as they face new rivals and increasingly difficult challenges. For their first challenge, the teams must create 24 classic chaussons aux pommes, and come up with a brand-new viennoiserie creation for the judges.

In their second challenge, the teams have five hours to produce a striking sugar showpiece, following the theme of A Garden Paradise, along with two types of delicious desserts of their choosing. Which five teams will earn themselves a place in the quarter-final, and which team will be going home?

Twelve professional duos from across the U.K. go head to head in a series of competitive heats judged by celebrated pastry chefs Cherish Finden and Benoit Blin.

In each episode the expert pairs are challenged to two rounds that will test their professional ability and allow them to showcase their creative flair. A new presenting line up of Tom Allen and Liam Charles will offer their own comedic take on events in the professional’s kitchen.
